After a few successful field and pilot-inspired watches, Collins is proud to introduce their newest — the “Sonar” dive watch. This feature packed dive watch boasts a spec sheet that punches well above its weight. The Sonar is a modern dive watch that measures in at a very wearable 39.5mm diameter, and a scant 12mm thick — great dimensions for a 300m rated diver.

The stainless steel case features a mix of brushed and polished surfaces, a flat sapphire crystal and a 120-click unidirectional rotating dive bezel with paint filled numerals. Underneath the crystal, you’ll find a rich black, military green, or deep blue dial adorned with polished applied indices, each treated with Swiss Super-LumiNova BGW9 lume that glows a pleasing teal-green when the lights go out. The watch comes with a custom brushed and polished 316L stainless steel bracelet that tapers from 20mm at the lugs to 18mm at the clasp.

The overall look of the watch is modern and bold, furthered by the interesting set of applied indices. At 12 o’clock, you’ll notice an upwards pointing arrow. 3, 6, and 9 sport wider, elongated indices, while the hours in between have a slimmer profile. A set of diamond-cut polished hands point to the time. The smooth sweep seconds hand features a small diamond towards the tip that’s treated with lume for extra visibility.


Inside the Sonar, you’ll find a Sellita SW200 Swiss-made automatic movement ticking away. Collins regulates the movement to six positions to ensure accuracy, no matter how you wear the watch. The movement features a 28,800bph beat rate for a smooth sweep around the dial, while 26 jewels keep the movement lubricated. You’ll also enjoy the convenient hacking seconds hand for accurate time setting.
