Founded in 1912, Fortis has been producing a variety of timepieces from some of the first mass-produced automatic wristwatches to fliegers and most notably “space” watches. As the official supplier for the Russian Federal Space Agency since 1994 with its Cosmonauts series, Fortis has a long history of air and space travel.

The Aeromaster series is Fortis’ answer to the pilot tool watch. From their day-date to the chronograph variants, every model features a robust 42mm diameter case with a sapphire top crystal, screw-in strap, and bracelet bars as well as a 200m water resistance rating. This triple register chronograph features a Royal Blue dial with grooved totalisers, and the distinctive PC-7 Team insignia at nine o’clock representative of the nine Pilatus PC-7’s flown by the team.

Beyond the more obvious details that acknowledge this as a commemorative model - to include the side plate denoting which of 300 you received - the PC-7 Team Aeromaster Chronograph distinguishes itself by use of a custom UW-50C movement that is chronometer-certified. Based on the ETA Valjoux 7750, this movement features a central seconds chronograph hand with a thirty-minute counter at the twelve and a twelve-hour counter opposite. It also features a small seconds hand at nine o’clock and a day-date complication to boot. Other features include 25-jewels, a frequency of 28,800 bph, and a 54-hour power reserve. Much like the brand, this movement is sure to be a reliable companion whether traveling through land, air, or space.

About Fortis

Founded by Walter Vogt in 1912, Fortis has been a trailblazer in the watch industry ever since. From the first ever mass-produced automatic wristwatch - the Harwood - presented in 1926 to some of the world’s first “waterproof” watches with the Fortissimo of 1940, this brand has helped to shape the landscape of the modern watch industry. Though not amongst the list of firsts for Fortis, it’s also one of only a handful of brands that can truly be said to be “space worthy” as the official watch of Russian Cosmonauts. Much like it’s founder, the brand’s current design ethos is as innovative and bold as ever. For sea, land, air and space Fortis has you covered.
