For Pilot watch enthusiasts, Laco watches really need no introduction. Founded in 1925, they were one of the original manufacturers of German Flieger watches. Still based in Pforzheim, Germany, Laco is known for their exacting quality, exceptional finishing, and attention to design detail.

The Frankfurt GMT is a modern and aggressive riff on the classic Flieger watch that can track multiple timezones. Featuring a 43mm case with dual crowns (one controls the inner 24-hour bezel, the other sets the time) in dark, matte bead-blasted steel, the Frankfurt is bold and intense. The dial then speaks to classic pilots designs, while having a contemporary attitude, and exceptional lume.

Inside of the Frankfurt GMT is an elaboré grade ETA 2893-2 movement. This Swiss-made automatic caliber features 21-jewels, 42-hour power reserve, date, independent 24-hour hands, and hacking seconds (the second-hand stops when the crown is pulled out). The 2893-2 is the industry standard GMT, providing reliable, accurate timekeeping and the ability to track multiple timezones.

Authentic Heritage

In the 1940s, only a handful of companies were selected to manufacture pilots watches for the German Airforce. Laco was one of these companies, and today they bring that heritage to their watches. You'll notice that their "original" series all feature "FL23883" engraved into the case, on the side opposite from the crown. This number indicates the watch was made to military specification for pilots.
