With a long and storied history of manufacturing watches for the military, Hamilton has plenty of inspiration in their back catalog to draw from. The Khaki Field Titanium Automatic is clearly inspired by the battle-worn watches of the past, but modern materials, an excellent movement, and a more contemporary look makes the Khaki Field Titanium an excellent option for your new every day watch. At 42mm, the titanium case has a bold presence on the wrist, while staying comfortable thanks to the light weight titanium construction.

The Khaki Field Titanium’s field watch-inspired design is bold and legible, whether you opt for the natural brushed titanium case, or the stealthy blacked-out PVD version. At 42mm wide, the case is on the large side of medium by modern standards but at 11.75mm is nice and slim. 20mm lugs allow you to use a wide range of straps, even though it ships on a handsome brown calf leather strap. Above the dial, you’ll notice a durable sapphire crystal that is highly resistant to scratches from everyday wear. The whole package is waterproof to 100m, which is more than enough for the daily splash and some surface activity on the water.

Drawing inspiration from sector dials, the design of the Khaki Field Titanium’s dial is broken up into three concentric circles. The resulting effect plays with the light and adds a level of depth that’s not common on the standard field watch. A set of bold hands point to the time, and are filled with plenty of lume for nighttime and low light adventures.

Inside the watch, you’ll find Hamilton’s impressive H-10 Swiss-made automatic movement. The standout feature is the class-leading 80-hour power reserve. Additionally, it boasts some nice finishing (visible through the display case back), a 21,600bph frequency, and 25 jewels keeping things running smoothly.
