The late '60s saw the pinnacle of the racing chronograph. An essential accessory for anyone with a penchant for speed, the chronograph squeezed the style and attitude of the track and the machines that burned rubber upon them into a form that fits on the wrist. Perfecting the “panda” dial layout with their bold, two register dials that featured dates down at six and contrasting tachymeter chapter, Hamilton made many now iconic chronographs in this era.

The Intra-matic Auto Chrono is a modern tribute to Hamilton’s picture-perfect bi-register 60’s chronographs. Featuring massive sub-dials, and glistening applied hour markers, they are as eye-catching as the originals, if not a touch more. Available in two flavors, classic black on white panda, or inverse white on blue, there is a version that will suit your style. Now featuring 40mm cases, the Intra-matic Auto Chronos are also properly updated for modern sensibilities, without being oversized.

Inside of the Intra-matic Auto Chrono is the H-31 Swiss-made caliber. This automatic chronograph is based on the venerable ETA/Valjoux 7753, the H-31 features 27-jewels, hacking, hand-winding, pusher-set date, a frequency of 28,800 bph, and a power reserve of 60-hours. Most mechanical chronographs top out at around 40 hours, making the H-31 a unique caliber.
