For Pilot watch enthusiasts, Laco watches really needs no introduction. Founded in 1925, they were one of the original manufacturers of German Flieger watches. Still based in Pforzheim, Germany, Laco is known for their exacting quality, exceptional finishing, and attention to design detail.

The München is a Laco Flieger like no other. Limited to just 200 pieces, it is built off of their historically-inspired case while incorporating chronograph functionality. The design of the dial is exceptionally clever, using bright white for the time, giving the watch a "Type A" layout, and medium gray for the chronograph. The result is that the time is never obscured by the complication, and the look is unique and stylish.

Inside of the München is an ETA/Valjoux 7750 caliber. This Swiss-made automatic chronograph is the industry standard for automatic chronographs, celebrated for its reliability and robustness. The 7750 features 25-jewels, hand-winding, day, date, chronograph, 42-hour power reserve, a frequency of 28,800 bph and hacking seconds (the second hand stops when the crown is pulled out).

Authentic Heritage

In the 1940's, only a handful of companies were selected to manufacture pilots watches for the German Airforce. Laco was one of these companies, and today they bring that heritage to their watches. You'll notice that their "original" series all feature "FL23883" engraved into the case, on the side opposite from the crown. This number indicates the watch was made to military specification for pilots.
