MHD Watches was founded by Matthew Humphries to pursue well designed automotive-inspired watches. MHD Watches has real roots in the automotive industry as Matthew was a designer for the legendary car manufacturer, Morgan. The MHD Type 3 brings serious automotive-inspired design to the world of watches. From the sandwich dial to the exoskeleton-style case, the Type 3 is packed with details.
The Type 3 features a 40mm case with a 47mm lug-to-lug and is 11.5mm thick, providing wrist presence with all-day comfort. The case has knurling and brushed and chrome finishes, giving you the feeling of wearing all the style and attention to detail that your favorite sports cars have. The Miyota 9130 automatic movement will provide reliability and a 42-hour power reserve.
MHD drew inspiration from the golden age of motoring. During that time when auto design was unhindered, MHD took the same liberties with the Type 3. You will see hints of some of the classics from this time period like the Bugatti Type 35 and Alfa Romeo 8c. The Type 3 is the perfect amalgamation of classic automotive design and modern watchmaking.
The Type 3’s dial has multiple complications including a date window and a gauge cluster-inspired power reserve subdial. The sandwich dial markers and syringe hands are packed with Super LumiNova and the coordinating red-tipped seconds hand adds a sporty look. The Type 3 is a limited edition of 100 watches and comes with 2 quick-release Italian calf leather straps.
