The hardest part about adding a flashlight to your everyday carry is finding somewhere to carry it. They’re typically large and bulky, which can be tough to just slip into the pocket of your jeans. Prometheus Lights’ Preon P1 packs a ton of awesome flashlight technology into a supremely easy-to-carry package. The Preon P1 runs on a readily available single AAA battery, and the light itself isn’t that much larger. It also features a textured body for a firm grip, ensuring that you won’t drop it and be left in the dark. 

At 3.4” long and only 0.57” in diameter, the Preon is a breeze to carry. The integrated deep carry pocket clip securely grabs onto fabric, keeping just the textured end cap above your pocket so it’s still easy to grab. Lots of smaller lights operate with a finicky twist mechanism to turn on and cycle modes, while the Preon P1 utilizes a convenient rubberized clicky button for straightforward operation. Five brightness modes are easy to cycle through, and include illumination levels from a super low 1 lumen, through a super bright 100 lumen burst mode. If you want to get really nerdy, you can even customize the brightness levels of each mode, thanks to the intuitive user interface. The LED itself is the highly regarded Nichia 219C -- an emitter with a high CRI (color rendering index) that accurately portrays the color of an object when the beam hits it without a blue or yellow cast commonly seen with lesser LEDs. You’d be hard-pressed to find a light that’s as compact as the P1 with all of the features and excellent build quality that Prometheus puts into their lights.
