The Yema Superman first debuted in 1963 sporting 300 meters of water resistance and a novel method of locking the bezel in place. Always one for innovation, these details set Yema apart from their competitors, and cemented the Superman’s significance in the history of the dive watch. Over the years since, many versions of the Superman were created, including the Superman II, which boasted some of the largest dive markers to ever grace a dial, earning it the “maxi” designation. Quirky, yet oddly appealing, it’s this watch that served as a source of inspiration for the Yema x Worn & Wound collaboration.

As a follow up to the Worn & Wound limited edition, the Yema Superman Maxi Dial Blue takes the bold, oversized “Maxi” markers and puts them into a serene blue and steel setting. Two tones of blue, and bright white indexes, bring a light and airy feel to this 39mm diver. A brushed steel bezel with a simplified index adds functionality with a relaxed style. Yema’s signature locking mechanism is still in place, keeping the Superman’s distinctive look. If a relaxed day at the beach could be a watch, this would be it.

Powering the Superman Maxi Dial Blue is the YEMA2000 caliber. Designed and developed in-house, the YEMA2000 is the newest generation of Yema’s proprietary movement, featuring 29-jewels, hacking seconds, 42-hour power reserve, and a frequency of 28,800 bph. Additionally, the YEMA2000 is regulated in four positions and has a daily rate within +/- 10 seconds.
